Terms of use
Last updated: October 2026
These terms cover your use of the Step Sequencer Library website and the building instructions on it. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Who we are
The site is run by Kill Signal Studios ("we", "us"). You can reach us through the contact page or at .
What you can do
The instructions are free. For your own personal, non-commercial use, you may:
- view the instructions and 3D builds on the site;
- download the PDFs and keep copies on your own devices;
- print copies for yourself, your family, or a non-commercial club or school activity;
- link to any page on the site.
What you can't do
Unless we've agreed it with you in writing, you may not:
- sell the instructions, or include them with anything you sell (for example, with a set or bricks);
- post, host or share copies of the instructions, PDFs or pictures on other websites, apps or file-sharing services;
- remove or hide the credits, licence notices or watermarks;
- download from the site in bulk or by automated means (scrapers, bots, scripts), or try to get round limits we put in place;
- use the site in a way that harms it, or other people's use of it.
Who owns what
- The 3D models belong to their authors, who are credited on each set's page. They're used under the licence shown there, or with the author's permission, and those licences still apply to the models.
- The part shapes come from the LDraw Parts Library, licensed under CC BY 4.0 (some older parts CC BY 2.0). See credits.
- The booklets (their steps, pictures, layout and design) and the rest of the site are ours, subject to the licences of the models and parts they're made from.
- LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorise or endorse this site. We use set numbers, set names and theme names only to say which set each booklet is for.
Accounts
Anyone can create a free account. Designer accounts are by invitation. If you have an account, keep your sign-in to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it. You're responsible for what's done with your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and you can ask us to close yours at any time.
MOCs and your library
Anyone can see a MOC's preview. Adding a MOC to your library, free or by buying it, gives you its whole booklet, PDF and 3D build, for your own personal, non-commercial use under "What you can do" and "What you can't do" above. The MOC still belongs to its designer. If a MOC is taken down, for example at its designer's request or after a takedown, it may leave your library too.
Reviews and profiles
If a MOC is in your library, you can review it: 1 to 5 stars and, if you like, a few words. Reviews appear straight away, with your display name and picture. Please keep them honest and about the MOC: no abuse, personal details, spam, or links to copies of instructions. The MOC's designer can reply once, in public.
Anyone signed in can report a review. We may hide reviews, profile pictures, links or "about you" text that break these terms, and we don't edit what people write. Designers can't review their own MOCs, or ask for reviews in return for anything.
Buying MOCs
Some MOCs have a price, set by their designer and shown before you buy. You buy from Kill Signal Studios, which passes most of the price on to the designer. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see your card details. For now we only sell to buyers in the UK.
A MOC is digital content you get straight away. When you buy one, you ask us to give it to you at once and agree that you then lose your 14-day right to cancel. If a MOC is faulty or isn't as described, you still have your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: contact us and we'll put it right or refund you. A refunded MOC leaves your library.
For designers
If you have a designer account, you can publish your own models (MOCs) on the site. When you do:
- you confirm the MOC is your own design, and that you have the right to publish it and its description (it isn't copied from someone else's model or instructions);
- you keep ownership of your design. You give us permission to store, show and share it on the site, including its booklet, 3D build and PDF, for as long as it's published, and to make small copies (such as pictures for link previews) to promote it;
- your MOC is public straight away, credited to your display name and profile. Anyone can see its preview; the rest is for people who add it to their library, free or by buying it;
- if you set a price, you get 90% of each sale and we keep 10%. Stripe pays your share to your bank once you've set up payouts with them, and Stripe's own terms apply to that. You're responsible for any tax on your earnings;
- you can change, hide or delete it at any time from your MOCs page. We may hide or remove a MOC that breaks these terms, or that someone reports as using their work without permission.
Don't publish anything unlawful, offensive, or that uses LEGO's or anyone else's logos or branding as if it were theirs.
Your own work
If you think something on the site uses your work without permission, please follow our takedown process. We'll take it down while we look into it.
Mistakes and safety
We work hard to get every step right, but the instructions are newly drawn from fan-made models and may differ from the original set or contain mistakes. They're provided free and "as is". Please tell us about anything that looks wrong.
Building sets contain small parts that can be a choking hazard. Keep them away from young children.
Our responsibility to you
We don't promise that the site will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or remove sets or features at any time. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for any loss that comes from using the site or the instructions. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any disputes. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you may also have the protection of your local consumer law and can bring a claim in your local courts.
